Bailey Accessories is a design-and-make project with a mission to make life easier for cycle commuters. We like neat design, we like detail, and we like things that are built to last. Our products are designed, assembled and tested in Manchester. Testing is done in collaboration with Manchester’s cycling community.

The products

We currently make our own design of trouser straps. We’ll soon be making our D-lock holder for pannier racks. For product news and updates, follow @BAILEYcycling on Twitter.

Designed by commuter cyclists, for commuter cyclists

We ride for transport, and we make things we’d buy. We also listen carefully to what our cyclist friends say about cycling accessories.

Tried and tested – then improved

We like to think our stuff is as good as it can be. We personally road test prototypes before seeking feedback from cycle commuters. We then tweak the designs before making items for sale.

Small and local

Small is beautiful. We make our cycling accessories in very small batches. We support UK businesses by sourcing materials locally, whenever we can. For instance, our fabrics are pre-consumer off-cuts from Manchester’s garment industry. When there’s no UK option, we’ll look for European-made supplies.

Environmentally sustainable

Our workshop is powered by renewable electricity produced in the UK by Good Energy – and our Edwardian Singer sewing machine is powered by jaffa cakes. (It’s a miracle.)
